Worshipful Master’s Message – January 2016

Greetings Brethren All:

Welcome to a new Masonic year at Holbrook Lodge. I had the honor and responsibility to be your Worshipful Master for this coming year. It is truly an honor and I will do my best to lead the Lodge effectively.

Our Civic and Youth Committee using the proceeds from our assessment has funded several Youth and Community Projects. We sponsored a Forest Grove Youth football team, the DeMolay / Rainbow  Youth Night, and once again sponsored and put on the Fireworks display at Jennings McCall on the Fourth of July.  We intend to sponsor those projects again and add the Bikes for Books program.

We also are participating in the Adopt a Park program with the City of Forest Grove. We will have maintenance and upkeep on the landscaped triangle at Pacific and E Street in Forest Grove. We will plant two plantings of flowers there, and get a sign telling who we are. Plans are also proceeding to provide highway roadside clean up on a local county road north of Forest Grove.

We are planning several other social activities as well, and look forward to our year. Please assist any of the officers when asked, we can accomplish more as a group. I would also like to thank Past Master Worshipful Brother Von Bailey for his great leadership and laying the ground work for those following him.

Lastly, please join us in Lodge on January 5, as we honor Worshipful Brother Harold Johnson for his 26 years of service to our Lodge as Secretary. Cake and ice cream at refreshment.

Thank you again for the confidence you have placed in me.

Dale Wiley
Worshipful Master

From the Kitchen:  The WM doesn’t do this cake justice.  It’s going to be great! Come and taste for yourself.
