Meeting in the Jennings McCall center last month was a first for me and was quite an enjoyable experience! We even had our first petitioner (and this year’s winner) of the Blue Lodge Scholarship Program – Libby Hertel,, who spoke eloquently about her drive and passion to help others through nursing and outreach programs after attending university.
Some summer plans for the secretary’s office:
1. Catalogue the books in our library, making a computerized list available for those wishing to do research or who are just plain curious
2. Scan our Past Master’s pictures
3. Scan our past 50 years of Lodge records (this is a daunting task, but worthy of the undertaking! Perhaps we’ll complete more than 50 years depending on time and availability of volunteers)
4. Install a library computer with our Lodge database on it allowing Brothers to access our records, pictures, stated meeting minutes and correspondence for research (this is ambitious and may take some additional time)
I hope to see all of you at our next stated!
